Engine Drive watermakers come in three configurations:
65 Litres per hour, 120 Litres per hour and 180 Litres per hour.
All three units use the same off the shelf high pressure pump
and the only difference is, they use one to three membranes.
The watermaker output can be increased at a later time if your need
for fresh water increases.
INSTALLATION OF ENGINE DRIVE MODELS
Engine drive models are the most time consuming to install
as a bracket is needed to fit onto your engine. In most
cases a engineer should fit the high pressure pump as access
to a welder and shop is a big advantage.
The rest of the watermaker is suitable for a DIY with average
mechanical Knowledge.
FLUSHING OPTIONS
All engine driven models have a manual flushing system
standard. This system has proven fool proof as it cuts the
cost and increase reliability. It only takes
about a minute to manually flush, we recommend it.
However if you think a automatic flush system would suit your
boat, automatic flushing systems are available as an option
