Custom Engineering & Commercial Systems

If our standard marine units do not fit your space or volume requirements, we can build a reverse osmosis system to match your specifications. We design both boat-based systems and land-based units for isolated locations.

Case Studies & Applications

Commercial & Cruise Vessels
  • The Ipipiri (Bay of Islands Luxury Cruise Ship): Equipped with two of our high-volume 240 L/h systems to ensure guest comfort. Upgrading to our fresh-water system allowed them to switch their onboard toilet facilities from seawater to freshwater, completely eliminating stale seawater odors.

  • Extreme Latitude Operations: Open Ocean systems operate reliably on both commercial and pleasure vessels navigating extreme environments, including the Arctic regions. These setups feature specialized pre-filtration arrays designed to handle heavy plankton blooms and extreme sub-zero operating temperatures.

Land-Based & Humanitarian Projects

  • Pacific Island Resort Infrastructure: We design and commission both portable and permanent plant-room systems for Pacific resorts, ensuring uninterrupted freshwater supply and continuous business operations during severe dry seasons.

  • Humanitarian Aid (Vanuatu): We engineered a specialized, custom desalination system currently operating in Vanuatu for the New Zealand Children's Health & Education Trust.

  • Disaster Relief Infrastructure: Thinking outside the box, we developed a rugged, highly portable land-based unit engineered specifically to produce the pure fresh water required to mix high-grade concrete for building disaster-relief shelters in the Pacific Islands. Video

Heavy-Duty Technical Capabilities

For high-volume commercial and industrial projects, we scale up our component architecture far beyond standard cruising specifications:

  • High-Volume Pump Platforms: While our standard high-pressure pumps deliver a reliable 15.9 L/min water flow, our commercial-grade pumps move between 28.8 and 45.4 L/min. These are driven via heavy-duty 3-phase AC motors or directly from an engine’s power take-off (PTO).
  • Industrial 4-Inch Membranes: For extra-high-flow requirements, we fit our systems with large-format 4-inch (100mm) diameter membranes to process massive volumes of water rapidly.

High-Output Commercial Lineup:
  • 345 Litres per Hour (8,280 Litres per Day)
  • 600 Litres per Hour (14,400 Litres per Day)
